Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Domaine Faiveley opens with a very inviting red cherry and mild cranberry bouquet with orange peel. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth, delicate, and silky. The flavor profile is a very tasty red cherry and mild cranberry blend with notes of stone dust and red raspberry tea. I also detected some hints of red beet. The finish is dry and its well-managed and refined tannins are nicely sustained. This wine would pair well with pheasant coq au vin style or with your Thanksgiving turkey with cranberry. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Distinctive bouquet characterized by aromas of black and red fruits, intensified by woody and smoky notes. The wine reveals delicious mouth filling backed by beautiful fullness and velvety tannins. A harmonious combination that produces a silky, warm wine that perfectly reflects the nature of its terroir.
