Wine Review: This golden yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a Bartlett pear and baked apple turnover bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well balanced, smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a tart green apple and saline blend with notes of minerality, lemon verbena, mild pineapple, and brioche. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This classy and food friendly Chard would pair well with a pan-seared Chilean sea bass. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Arthur is joyously fresh and fragrant, with the intricacy and detail of spring blossoms. Here, clarity of flavor and balanced precision are front and center, lifting the pure Chardonnay expression effortlessly from the glass. One finds aromatic notes of Anjou pear, green apple blossom, cardamom, and coriander. Refinement and elegance follow through on the palate, all wrapped in a very fine texture. Enjoy now, but I expect this Arthur to age beautifully for the next 5-7 years.
