Wine Review: An entry level Cabernet Franc with the benefit of not being green. Cabernet Franc is a finicky grape that needs time on the vines for it to mature properly. Picked even the slightest bit too early and a pronounced bell pepper flavor is guaranteed. The Gaia Cabernet Franc did a great job at offering up the riper flavors that the varietal has to offer without compromising the price. It had the blackberry and currant notes one comes to expect, along with hints of black pepper and green tea. This good value Cab Franc would pair well with a baked pork loin with a citrus glaze. – Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: Intense violet color. Black and red fruit flavors with pepper and mineral notes. Full body with a fruity mid-palate expression. Persistent finish. Pair with red meat dishes or roasted pork dishes.
