Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Domaine Anderson opens with a black raspberry and faint strawberry bouquet with hints of Dr. Pepper, sage, cedar, and stone dust. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright and juicy. The flavor profile is black raspberry and red plum blend with notes of saline, red cherry, and graphite. We also detected hints of soft oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would then pair this Pinot with a chicken and shrimp paella or with lamb lollipops. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Distinctive to the Walraven vineyard site, herbal qualities dominate the aroma with dried thyme, sage and black tea. Flavors are full, ripe and rich with dark-skinned fruits: plum, blackberry, fig and licorice. On the palate, this wine is savory and expansive, with a juicy, soft mouthfeel, smooth tannin, and moderate acidity. A firm structure and finish provide the framework for a delicious wine.
