Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with a musty oak and strawberry bouquet with a hint of pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with gentle acidity. It is soft and have nice palate coverage. Its flavor profile is quite savory. It features red plum and mushroom flavors with notes of blood orange and cinnamon. There is a hint of cranberry and clove towards the end. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors are extended. This rustic styled Pinot Noir would pair well with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Medium-dark ruby color. Aromas of fresh red berry, pomegranate and bark spice are complemented with flavors of citrus, black tea and cardamom. A firm acidity with elegant tannins provides the frame for this well-built wine. Savory and long finish on the palate. Pairs beautifully with braised meats (osso buco), dishes such as gorgonzola with mushroom risotto, and a variety of cheeses.
