Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Dion opens with an inviting blueberry and acai with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild smoky oak infused black plum with notes of black raspberry, a touch of minerality and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its very fine tannins and expressive flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with pork tenderloin with a fig reduction sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2010 barrel-select Winemaker's Reserve Pinot Noir is perfectly balanced with a nose redolent of earth and rose petals. Bright pomegranate gives way to leather and is complemented by a white pepper finish. Decant to drink now, or hold for two years and decide for yourself if it needs it.
