Wine Review: This slightly cloudy medium ruby colored Tempranillo opens with a cinnamon and mild strawberry bouquet with faint hints of moist pipe tobacco, violets, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and juicy, but a bit rustic. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry and red cherry blend with notes of dried blueberry and cocoa. We also detected hints of minerality, oak and clove. The finish is dry, and its mild dusty tannins and flavors linger nicely. We would pair this very easy to drink Tempranillo with a juicy Angus bacon burger with sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese or a meat lasagna. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: Aged 15 months in French oak and 12 months in bottle, balsamic and mineral/spice notes accent fresh and focused fruit concentration.
