Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet based blend is very impressive. It opens with a very fragrant and inviting red plum and cranberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild boysenberry and red currant blend with notes of gentle minerality. I also detected some gentle oak in the background. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins fade away nicely. The wine has some Bordeaux tendencies that make it ultra-food friendly. I would pair it with a filet mignon at you favorite steak house. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our winemaker describes Red Rock Terrace as "having velvety tannins, rich and well balanced, medium dark ruby color with cherry, mint and black currant flavors."
