Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Tasmania opens with a new leather and cranberry bouquet with hints of black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, gentle and a little bright. The flavor profile is a mild cranberry and spiced red plum with notes of nutmeg and dried strawberry. I also detected some hints of stony minerality in the after taste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. If you are looking for an affordable and easy to drink Pinot for a mid-week meal and you have never tried a wine from Tasmania. Here is your wine! I would pair this Pinot with a wood-fired cremini mushrooms pizza with thyme, oregano, mozzarella, and ricotta cheese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A brightly colored Pinot Noir with youthful purple tones. A strongly perfumed aroma redolent of spicy black cherry, dark fruits, and hints of raspberries. The wine displays a juicy, sweet-fruit middle palate with soft, ripe tannins and fresh acidity. Made in a drink-now style with generous flavors.
