Wine Review: This bright sparkler from Decoy is a pale gold color in the glass with lots of small bubbles. The intense bouquet includes aromas of brioche, apple pie, beeswax, and a bit of vanilla. On the palate, it is medium bodied with moderate acidity, and is slightly round, balanced and very clean. It starts out dry, but the ripe fruit comes through mid-palate. There are flavors of McIntosh apple, almond, a bit of crushed stone, kitchen spice and vanilla. The finish is moderate. Pair with stuffed filet of sole from Rhode Island. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The debut Decoy Brut Cuvée is an enticing sparkling wine that offers alluring layers of baked apple, white peach and orange zest, as well as aromatic hints of honeysuckle and vanilla. On the palate, a delicate sweetness is perfectly balanced by bright acidity, which adds poise and energy to the lush, pure fruit flavors.
