Wine Review: This coral-colored wine from Decoy opens with a gentle pink grapefruit and watermelon bouquet with hints of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright and zesty. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and watermelon with notes of white pepper and mild strawberry. I also detected some hints of tangerine and slightly tart nectarine. Its flavors and acidity linger nicely on the finish. This Rose would pair well with chilled shrimp cocktail. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our Decoy Rosé was inspired by the great Rosés of Provence. Unlike many Rosés, which are made as a byproduct of bleeding off juice from red wine fermentations, the grapes for this wine were specifically harvested at lower Brix to make a dry Rosé. This tantalizing rosé leaps from the glass with aromas of bright watermelon, ripe strawberry, lemon zest and tangelo. On the palate, this wine is silky and lush, with crisp acidity adding poise and energy to the vibrant red berry, citrus and melon flavors.
