Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a red raspberry and cherry-cola bouquet with notes of oak and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a juicy red raspberry and red plum with notes of cinnamon spice and strawberry licorice. I also detected hints of oak, black pepper, and cherry-cola. The finish is dry, and its medium tannins are nicely prolonged. This Zin is easy to drink and would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A beautifully lush and engaging Zinfandel, this wine begins with aromas of blueberry, blackberry, black pepper, cherry, plum and licorice. The generous fruit continues on the palate, where the flavors are framed by silky smooth tannins and bright acidity, with subtle hints of oak-inspired vanilla, nutmeg and spice lingering on the finish.
