Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Decoy opens with a red currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of vanilla-cola and craisin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and juicy. The flavor profile is a red currant and red plum blend with notes of craisin, black tea, and nutmeg. The finish is dry, and its dusty soft tannins linger and last for a while. We would pair this midweek Cab with a tangy pulled pork sandwich or with an Angus beef burger with blue cheese and bacon. Enjoy – Ken, Stuart, and Karen
Winemaker Notes: From its aromas of vibrant red and blue fruit to its silky tannins and balanced acidity, this is a lush and alluring Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate, rich flavors of raspberry, ripe plum and blueberry carry the wine to a long, luxurious finish, with nuanced hints of oak and sweet baking spices.
