Wine Review: In the glass this is a sparkling clear medium red color. On the nose, it features red fruits like raspberry, cherry and watermelon. I also detected hints of smoked meat and herbs. On the palate, it is medium bodied with medium acidity, and is both fruity and savory. There are flavors of red raspberry, red cherry, cranberry, black tea and a hint of spicy black pepper. There is a touch of fine-grained tannins in the moderated length finish. While not overly complex, it was delicious with a smoked chicken from my smoker. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: From its enticing bouquet to its layers of lush, pure fruit, this wine captures the vibrant charm of great California Pinot Noir. On the nose, aromas of raspberry, strawberry and rose petal rise from the glass, along with hints of rosemary and peppermint. The palate is soft and silky, with supple tannins accentuating the ripe berry flavors and helping to carry the wine to a bright and focused finish.
