Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Decoy is a Zinny Zin. It opens with a fragrant craisin bouquet with hints of stewed red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a cranberry and strawberry blend with notes of oak and red plum. I also detected hints of cinnamon. The finish is dry and it flavors and faint tannins fade away nicely. This fruity Zinfandel would pair well with lamb picadillo tacos. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: From its lovely dark violet color to its luscious fruit aromas, this wine captures the alluring essence of Sonoma County Zinfandel. On the palate, layers of fresh raspberry, blackberry and cranberry are underscored by an elegant structure that includes supple, refined tannins, balanced acidity and notes of French vanilla and toasty oak.
