Wine Review: This light straw-colored Chardonnay from Decoy opens with a faint pear bouquet with a hint of butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a poached pear and butterscotch blend with notes of vanilla oak. The finish is dry and it lingers nicely. This Chard is a crowd pleaser and would be a nice glass pour option. I would pair it with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This enticing Chardonnay offers vibrant layers of green apple, white peach and honeysuckle, as well as hints of cinnamon. On the palate, a supple texture from sur lie aging is balanced by bright natural acidity, which adds poise and length to the lush, pure fruit flavors.
