Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored blend from Decoy is very good. It opens with mild blueberry bouquet with a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a pleasant black cherry with notes of black currant and hints mild minerality and some faint oak mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins give it a little depth. While not complex this wine is very food friendly and versatile. It will pair well with many foods. I would enjoy it with beef lasagna or Kobe sliders. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Winemaker Notes: Rich and concentrated, this wine reveals lush layers of blueberry, blackberry and sweet rhubarb. Hints of caramel and toasty oak add depth and complexity, while framing the voluptuous fruit, and drawing the flavors to a long, multifaceted finish.
