Wine Review: This light straw colored Chardonnay from Duckhorn opens with a fragrant oak and apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, a touch sweet and balanced. The flavor profile is ripe pear with notes of minerality and gentle oak. I also detected a hint of orange. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard would pair very nicely with chicken francese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Showcasing the exceptional quality of the 2014 vintage in Sonoma County, this wine displays lovely layers of pear, apple and lemon drops. On the palate, the pure fruit flavors are underscored by crisp acidity and subtle hints of sweet oak that add length to the finish.
