Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Merlot is a crowd pleaser. It opens with a mild blueberry and gentle oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and oak blend with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of red licorice. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors linger from quite a while. This Merlot would pair well with a bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Alluring aromas of black cherry and dark chocolate are complemented by savory notes and subtle hints of smoke. Graceful and velvety, this wine glides across the palate, with beautifully balanced acidity and tannins underscoring lush layers of fruit.
