Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a pomegranate bouquet with hints of flint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and friendly. The flavor profile is a mild smoky cedar and gentle plum with hints of black raspberry and minerality. The finish is dry and mild tannins and flavors fade away nicely. This Cab seems more Old World in style vs. your typical California Cab. That does make it more versatile with food. I would say it is a nice glass pour option and I would pair it with a juicy Angus bacon burger or beef Burgundy. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: From its first aromatic impressions, this lovely wine delivers classic Cabernet Sauvignon character, with ripe blackberry and boysenberry notes complemented by hints of toasty oak, sweet cocoa and baking spices. On the palate, beautiful structure and supple, mouth-coating tannins underscore the fruit and add to the long, layered finish.
