Wine Review: This light straw-colored Chardonnay opens with a cantaloupe and clementine bouquet that also includes some floral hints. Its medium body is smooth and bright with an inviting combination of pear, lemon and cantaloupe flavors. I also noted hints of pineapple, butterscotch and toast mixed in. Its acidity was refreshing and balanced. This is a very nice straight forward Chardonnay. The finish is smooth, slightly tart and faded away nicely. I would pair this Chard from DeLoach with baked scallops with a Ritz cracker topping. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: A pale-yellow color in the glass, our 2017 Russian River Valley Chardonnay opens with enticing aromas of honeysuckle, vanilla bean and a hint of baked apple. On the palate, flavors of lemon curd, nutmeg and a hint of caramel lead to a rich medium body with well-balanced acidity and a luscious lingering finish.
