Wine Review: This very dark red colored blend from Washington state opens with a cranberry tart and pomegranate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The flavor profile is a cranberry and tart cherry blend with notes of red currant and cinnamon. There are hints of red licorice and a touch of nutmeg towards the end. The finish is dry, and its flavors, tingly acidity and medium tannins stick around for a while. I would pair this red fruit blend with a charcuterie platter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Mocha and milk chocolate notes from French oak integrate with beautiful cassis, dried cranberry, and cedar aromas on this 2018 D2. This wine is instantly delicious on the palate with an inviting warm, soft entry. It rapidly builds in intensity of fruit mid-palate, offering remarkable length on the finish. Pair with lean meats like flank steak or bison.
