Wine Review: This opaque and dark red colored blend from South Africa opens with a cedar, leather and black cherry bouquet with hints of craisin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile, like the nose, features cedar infused cherry with notes of cinnamon. I also detected hints of red plum. The finish is dry and its fruit and faint tannins fade away nicely. This tasty South African blend would pair well with veal cutlets with cherry sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This Merlot dominant Bordeaux blend displays aromas of red fruits, mulberries and blueberries, with notes of cedar and spice and a hint of aniseed. This follows through perfectly on the palate, revealing pure juicy red fruit, berries and plum. Complex and vibrant, this expressive red showcases velvety, finely knit tannins...just as one would expect from a Merlot-led blend!
