Wine Review: This pale white gold colored blend from South Africa is very good. It opens with a fragrant pear bouquet with a hint of apple. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is like the bouquet. It is a blend of pear and apple with notes of white peach and a hint of minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This wine would pair perfectly with grilled swordfish skewers. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The name Maestro honors the Baroque music piped throughout the vineyards and in the cellar at DeMorgenzon. On the nose and palate, there are concentrated orange and yellow stone fruits, as well as notes of spice and zesty citrus fruits. An elegant wine, the palate is full-textured with lingering nuances of honeysuckle and frangipani.
