Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay is a tribute to the first responder that helped save the Davis Estates in 2020. This wine opens with a mild oak, pear, and butterscotch bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a chalky mineral, oak, and Bosc pear blend with notes of lemon butter. I also detected hints of butterscotch in the background. The finish is dry, and its flavors are nicely extended. This Chard would pair well with Ritz cracker encrusted baked haddock. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: On September 27th, 2020, the Glass Fire swept through the Napa Valley, leaving much devastation in its wake. Davis Estates Winery was incredibly fortunate to have been saved by first responders. No words seem adequate enough to express our admiration and gratitude to these brave men and women. We can only try to give back, for we’re only as good as those who support us.
