Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc is terrific. It opens with an appealing mild grapefruit bouquet with hints of lime zest, lychee and a touch of apricot. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and nicely balanced between its acidity and fruit. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. It features, mild grapefruit, gentle lychee and nicely integrated minerality. I also detected notes of lime zest, apricot and honeydew melon. The finish is dry and its flavors and pleasant acidity drift away nicely. This rounded and refined Sauvignon Blanc is one of my top finds for this grape category so far this summer. It is very food friendly and I would pair it with crab stuffed halibut. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2018 Sauvignon Blanc captivates the eye with a light straw hue and dazzling clarity. Aromas of ripe stone fruit intermingled with guava and pineapple, transport you to a tropical island. The palate comes alive with bright citrus, then finishes soft with faint nuances of neutral French oak, giving this Sauvignon Blanc a well-balanced, refreshing finish that makes you want more. Pair it with grilled lobster tails with a spinach salad.
