Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville opens with a mild blueberry and blackberry bouquet with hints of dark chocolate and sage. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black raspberry and black plum blend with notes of gentle minerality and oak. We also detected some hints of cocoa and tea mixed in. The finish is dry and moderate dusty chewy tannins show very nice length. The Panel thought this Cab would be fine as a solo sipper. With food, we would pair it with braised short ribs and a black forest cake for dessert. Enjoy – KWGTP
