Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with blackberry and black coffee bouquet with hints of spiced plum and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with moderate acidity. The mouthfeel round, balanced, and concentrated. The flavor profile is a black plum, black cherry, and smoky oak blend with notes of stony minerality and baking spices. We also picked up a hint of black tea. The finish is dry, and its big dusty drying tannins stick around for a long time. The Panel would decant this Cab and pair it with a well-marbled ribeye. Another option is enjoying it with a Cuban cigar on a cold night by the firepit. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: In the glass, you are immediately struck by the depth of color in the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, suggesting a wine of great character and complexity. Perfumed, varietally classic aromas of blackberries, cassis, and graphite are finely framed by nuances of oak. Each taste reveals facets of black currant, blueberry and warm spices that mingle with tobacco, leather, and cocoa. The bold round flavors and supple tannins create a wine that makes you eagerly anticipate the next sip as you savor the last.
