Wine Review: This pitch black colored Petit Verdot opens a very inviting blueberry and cola bouquet with hints of black cherry, oak and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, rather acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a black plum and cola blend with notes of blackberry, black raspberry and oak. We also detected hint of Good n’ Plenty and dark chocolate mixed in. The finish is dry and its acidity and tannins are quite prolonged. The Panel suggested pairing this impressive Petit Verdot with roast beef and Yorkshire pudding or an herb encrusted rack of lamb. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This 2016 Napa Valley Petit Verdot has attractive shades of reds and purples. Aromas are elegant with vibrant blueberry, black cherry and subtle toasted oak with a hint of cedar. The flavors are full, yet supple, with ripe blueberry and the same toasted oak nuances with a hint of anise. The wine is well structured with good width and offers an extended finish that is approachable today, but will improve with bottle age for many years ahead.
