Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with an oak and pear bouquet with hints of toasted coconut. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pear and coconut blend with hints of faint orange in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for a little bit. This Chard is for oak fans. If you like that style, it will appeal to you. It would pair well with pasta carbonara. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Davis Bynum Chardonnay has beautiful aromas of baked apple, citrus and white floral. On the palate the wine opens up with brioche, lemon meringue and toasty baking spices, with a lush finish that is balanced with acidity and a rich creaminess. Enjoy this Chardonnay with roasted butternut squash soup, sauteed scallops or lobster or a creamy vegetable pasta dish.
