Wine Review: I personally think that Dashe is one of the leading Zin producers that has surfaced in the last few years. Their dark ruby colored entry level offering is quite good and appealing. It opens with an attractive spicy blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, and balanced with no hard edges. The flavor profile is a soft and juicy blueberry. Our mini group of tasters called it dangerously drinkable. The finish is dry and its rather mild tannins are subtle. This is a very food friendly Zin and would pair nicely with barbecue short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Inky-black purple. Aroma of black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, cassis, plum, black pepper, & clove. Taste: Blackberry and concentrated black cherry fruit, black current, chocolate, clove spice, thick and luscious texture on the mid-palate, complex, long sweet finish of black cherry fruit, chocolate, licorice, and spice.
