Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Zinfandel opens with a blueberry jam and black cherry bouquet with a hint of molasses. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy going. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry with hints of blackberry and a touch of milk chocolate and black pepper. The finish is dry and its rather sticky tannins are quite prolonged. This wine requires a meal with some fat. Pair it with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Reddish black. Extremely aromatic combination of red and black fruits: cassis, black raspberry, and cherry. Followed by spicy and floral notes of lavender, clove, and black pepper. Very structured wine, with great texture and length. Complex blend of black raspberry and cherry fruit, lavender, anise, clove spice, velvety texture, very full-bodied with round chalky tannins, long sweet finish of black raspberry fruit and spice.
