Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored California Shiraz from Darioush opens with a spicy black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a blend of extracted blackberry, black licorice, black pepper, and spice. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins linger for some time. Pair this Shiraz with barbecue Memphis ribs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Introduced by alluring fragrances of blackberry, orange zest and white pepper, the 2006 Signature Shiraz shows remarkable ripeness and concentration. Layers of black licorice, bittersweet chocolate and finely aged tobacco are intricately woven together with well integrated tannins, endless dark fruits and a long finish of espresso.
