Wine Review: This pitch-black Cabernet Sauvignon from Darioush was very well received by all that tried it. It opens with a bouquet of black cherry aromas with hints of blueberry mixed in. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well-balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild black currant and blueberry blend with notes of mild black olive and oak. I also detected a hint of black cherry in the background. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins drift away nicely. This Cab paired perfectly with the roasted duckling with a citrus port wine and cherry sauce at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2015 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon offers dark cherry and black fruit aromas. Its underlying plushness on the palate broadens with savory elements – black olive, soy, spice and black tea are accentuated by bright acidity, well-integrated oak and fine, sweet tannins. The 2015 is a rich, exotic, complex and aromatic wine destined to reward the patient collector.
