Wine Review: This pale yellow Viognier from Napa opens with an attractive mild apple gentle peach bouquet with a hint of banana. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and subtle oak blend with notes of white pepper, pineapple, apricot, banana, and spice. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This wine would be a nice complement to grilled red snapper. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Darioush Viognier beautifully expresses the eclectic and exotic character of this varietal. Grown in the cooler locales of the Oak Knoll appellation, with its dense early morning fog and afternoon breezes, enables this rare and finicky variety to ripen slowly yet completely, revealing layers of bright fruit, floral and tropical flavors which define fine Viognier.
