Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Darioush once again did very well with the Tasting Panel in our recent blind tasting. It opens with a black cherry and vanilla oak bouquet with hints of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry and mild oak blend with hints of nicely integrated minerality. We also detected hints of black cherry and menthol. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. The panel suggested pairing this gem with a veal chop or steak tips. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Reflecting the strengths of Napa Valley’s 2012 vintage, the Signature Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits beautiful layers of blueberry and black cherry aromas mingled with bittersweet cocoa, cinnamon and cigar box. Rich and dense on the palate with blackberry, dried fig and anise flavors, the wine is further enhanced by savory and earthbound elements of dried sage and French roast coffee. The tannins are firm, refined and mineral-laden, offering a complete, long-term and rewarding wine experience.
