Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Darioush was one of our top scoring wines in our recent Big Blind tasting of high end reds. It opens with a mild black currant bouquet with hints of wintergreen. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is black currant with notes of minerality, black licorice, and touch of oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins fade away nicely. The panel suggested that this very nice Cab would pair perfectly with Stewart's steak treats. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Captivating aromas of anise, expresso, dried herbs and orange peel introduce the 2011 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon. Sumptuous and savory blackberry, dark cherry and fig are revealed during decanting, with notes of bittersweet cocoa, black olive and nutmeg adding intrigue and complexity. The vintage exhibits composure, with both depth of flavor and ripe, refined tannins.
