Wine Review: This pale yellow colored wine is best Viognier that I have covered from Darioush in the last few vintages. It opens with a Bartlett pear and gentle apricot bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe peach with subtle hints of minerality, lime, and mango. The finish is dry and elegant. It drifts away nicely. I would serve this wine with roast squab. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright and alluring fragrances of macadamia nut, guava and honeysuckle introduce the distinctive 2010 Signature Viognier. A notable crisp green apple acidity pleases the palate while delightful flavors of Asian pear, star fruit and white nectarine harmonize with a nuanced finish accented by orange zest, clove and toffee.
