Wine Review: This wine is not your typical gregarious Aussie Grenache. This offering leans more toward an easy to drink and food friendly style. It is slightly opaque and ruby colored. It opens with a fragrant and attractive ripe strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and jammy. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry and strawberry blend with a hint of black pepper and licorice. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slightly prolonged. I would match it with veal parmigianna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The complex nose shows bright red fruits, lavender, violets and spicy lift. The palate is full bodied and brooding with a structural backbone of tannin that runs the length of the palate. Plum, raspberry and dark cherry open before a second layer of earth, smoked meats and dried herb emerge with a subtle hint of cedar oak on the finish.
