Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from DAOU opens with a very inviting pineapple and vanilla bean crème brulee bouquet with hints of chamomile tea and light lemon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a delicious lemon flan and pineapple blend with integrated light oak and chamomile tea. I also detected hints of butter cream. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this excellent Chard with halibut stuffed with crab. Enjoy - Ken
