Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Paso Robles opens with a lime and golden delicious apple bouquet with hints of yellow grapefruit and kiwi. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is a balanced, rounded and slightly viscous. The flavor profile a chalky minerality and gentle passion fruit blend with notes of honeydew melon and white tea. I also detected hints of saline. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This very good Sauvignon Blanc will be liked by many. It is versatile and food friendly. I would pair it with fish and chips or with a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Lovely and bright—a quintessential rendition of Paso Robles Sauvignon Blanc. Tantalizing aromas of grapefruit, pineapple, gooseberry, and quince reveal floral impressions of lemongrass and acacia, all balanced by notes of lychee and wet stone. The palate is classily structured and elegantly styled, displaying crisp, juicy fruit flavors that burst across the palate, including lemon chiffon, key lime pie, and kiwi accented with green apple, white nectarine, and pineapple. Decisively refreshing, this wine finishes clean with lingering notes of dragon fruit, passionfruit, and citrus.
