Wine Review: This light gold colored Semillon from DAOU opens with a lemon verbena, pear and marzipan bouquet with hints of honeydew melon and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, savory, and rich. The flavor profile is baked pear and lemon zest blend with notes of chamomile tea. We also detected some hints of green apple, crushed stone, white pepper, and oak in the mix. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this Semillon with Chilian sea bass, halibut, or crab. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2022 DAOU Estate Sémillon provides a rare taste of this classic Bordeaux white grown at our DAOU Mountain estate. In the glass, a golden straw hue anticipates stunning aromas of pear, apricot, jasmine, and honeysuckle with delicate vanilla accents. The mouthfeel is elegant and full bodied, displaying flavors of mango, pineapple, butterscotch, and nutmeg with notes of coconut and orange peel.
