Wine Review: Retrospective Tasting: This dark purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from DAOU opens with a black licorice and black cherry bouquet with hints of black tea, vanilla, and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is beautifully balanced, very smooth and plush. The flavor profile is a black currant and black licorice blend with notes of gentle graphite and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its well-managed moderate tannins linger for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this very impressive Cab with Roy's rib roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
