Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast opens with cola and black raspberry bouquet with a hint of smoky oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, juicy, and savory. The flavor profile is black cherry with integrated notes of mild oak. I also detected hints of cola, black pepper, and plum. The finish is dry and its fine tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot is impressive and very food friendly. I would pair this Pinot with a pork tenderloin with thyme and fig. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: We are thrilled to present to you our first vintage of Pinot Noir. The Pommard Clone grapes are sourced from the immaculate Silver Eagle Vineyard. It is a vibrant, aromatic wine, showing a copious bouquet of raspberry, strawberry, Asian spice, sassafras, and violet which jumps from the glass. The palate is open, with well‑delineated flavors echoing the nose, framed by the finest of tannins, allowing the finish to really blossom with elegance and length.
