Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cabernet opens with a fragrant black currant and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, round, and slightly fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry and black currant blend with notes of nicely integrated oak and a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are quite sticky and linger for an extended period of time. This wine would pair well with a grilled ribeye. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This gravelly site on the eastern bench of Rutherford always yields a classic Napa Cabernet. 2008s growing season provided extra density and length, and the result is something we are truly excited about. Aromas of blackberry, dark chocolate, anise, Asian spice and vanilla bound from the glass. The palate is full and rich, and slightly more structured than the Moose Valley Vineyard. Overall, a powerhouse of a wine with a long, intense finish and bones for the long haul.
