Wine Review: This pitch black colored Petite Sirah from Cypher was well received by the group. It opens with fragrant blueberry and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is blackberry jam with notes of blueberry and cedar. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins linger and last for a while. The group thought this tasty Petite Sirah was a fine sipper to have on its own. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Bombshell (bomb·shell): One that is stunning, amazing, or devastating. I have to say something about this color…deep, deep, deep red. Rich berry fruit on the nose. Savory herbs and spice, laced with cream. On the palate, Layers of red and blackberry fruit with sexy tannins that build incredible structure with velvet walls. A big, sexy monster, imposing, but surprisingly well mannered and graceful for its size. Ahhh…. The character of old vine fruit. Due to limited production, this wine is available for sale to wine club members only.
