Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel from Cypher is pretty impressive. It opens with a cherry vanilla and cedar bouquet with hints of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry with notes of black licorice. I also detected hints of blueberry, white pepper and oak. The finish is dry and its sticky moderate tannins and fruit linger for quite a long time. This big boy Zin would pair perfectly with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: On the nose: Bright red fruit... Blackberry, red raspberry & dried cherry laced with spice, cedar, and vanilla bean with hints of Creme Brulee. On the palate: Big monster fruit, big monster mouthfeel, full of red berry, blackberry and winter spice. Long on the palate with structure and juicy red fruit that turns to dried herb that lingers forever... "Fishnets and Stilettos..." This one is going to leave a mark!
