Wine Review: This red blend from Cypher is very good. It opens with a black cherry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty boysenberry with notes of black raspberry. I also detected hints of oak and blueberry. The finish is dry and flavors and medium tannins linger nicely. I would pair this wine with messy barbecue ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: On the nose: Red fruit, cranberry, and raspberry fruit laced with cedar, pepper, and spice. On the palate: Dark red and brooding mood swings of mouth-watering Zinfandel fruit, heightened with bright acid which enhance the lush crushed velvet mouthfeel that goes on and on. 700 cases produced.
