Wine Review: This pitch black colored Tempranillo opens with an attractive black cherry and black licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and very juicy. The flavor profile is a very tasty plum, fig and macerated black cherry blend with nicely integrated oak and a hint of spiced rum and touch of prune. On day two some earthy notes appeared with the extra aeration. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins fade away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and would pair nicely with a grilled quail with pomegranate-orange BBQ sauce. Enjoy - Ken
