Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Crossbarn opens with a black currant and boysenberry bouquet with a hint of peppermint. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and juicy with fruit forward flavors. Those flavors are similar to the nose, featuring black currant and boysenberry with notes of notes of coconut flakes and peppermint. I also detected hints of cranberry and menthol. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Cab would pair nicely with a charcuterie platter. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit from select vineyards across Napa Valley, this deep ruby wine opens with inviting aromas of black cherry, black peppercorn, and toasted sage. Rich, dark fruits are densely layered on the palate, balanced by a graphite backbone and beautifully integrated tannins leading to a persistent finish.
